I decided to make this blog alive again by posting my previous pieces, but with steps and some tutorials. I hope my posts will help some people who needs them :).
Firstly, these are the brushes that I always use mostly for all of my work:
and ![]()
Maybe most of you would notice that the 1st brush is a basic brush given by Adobe Photoshop. What I did to the 2nd brush was just a simple click on the “Shape DynamiC” in the brush presets window:
So that’s my main basic knowledge and here’re the steps:
1. Sketch

Tools used: brush 2
2. Base Color

Tools used: Fill and brush no 2.
3. Shading and light direction

Tools used: Brush 1 & 2 and a basic airbrush ![]()
This step is the most important step for deciding where the darker shades and light source would fall.
4. Paint Over

Brush 1 & 2 and a custom brush I made myself for the leaves
(find out more by always following my blog ;->)
I made a normal layer on top of the sketch layer and just do a paint over to give an opaque painting style. By this point, I don’t have to worry about the shade and light composition, because I already did that in my previous step.
5. Finalizing

Some addition to the leaves and done. Weird perspective on the cup, but I was done ( I mean lazy LOL)
Thanks for reading :).
