Hi again,
This would be my 2nd painting steps post. You can find my previous Ibuki painting steps here.
Again, for this piece, I only used these brushes:

The Steps:
1. Sketch

In this case I’ve already cleaned it up :). Again, from scratch in photoshop.
2. Base Color

Very basic flat colors using fill tool and default brush.
3. Shading and Light direction

As usual, get the light and dark areas and the overall color composition in this step, so you’ll have less problem when you do detailing and painting over. You may use any tools or ways to get the color composition that you want (hue/saturation/brightness/contrast adjustment)
4. Detailing and Paint over

As usual, I did the details on new layer below the ink layer, and paint over on top of ink layer.
I enjoyed making the folds and just realized how important my still life drawing class used to be. I learned that different cloth will construct different kind of folds too. So if you had the chance, practice more from life drawing.

Reflection was made just by mirroring the image and lower the opacity to 50%. I did a slight adjustment to her left hand to make it more like reflection, not copied :).
5. Finalizing

Final touch on her lower ribcage by making it more saturated and added glowing orbs effect.
I made simple hovering orbs in a new layer with default brush and give the effect with Layer Style-Outer Glow (double click on the layer):

And it’s done.
Thanks for reading
